on Sunday, had my DMM... there was no teaching, but ended up in kingdom minded talk ..... it was very very long talk... and i believe at the end the conclusion was "the problem is with self, not God, not the church, or anyone else" .....
there are a few thoughts that I'm thinking for the past 2 days...
1) how long is eternal?.... imagine you end up in hell.. how long is eternal?.. or if you see your friends or family members in hell.. HOW, LONG IS ETERNAL?... are we taking his salvation for granted?...
2) what is true salvation?.... John 3:16 says "for God so love us that he gave his one and only son to die for us, whoever believe in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."..
then in
Philippians 2:12 it says "continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,"..
if we believe in Jesus like what he said, we all will be saved.. but how come Paul says, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling?
then in the Gospel matthew 22- wedding banquet (some will accept this, some will reject)
The king(God) sent his servant(us) to tell people about the wedding (the gospel) he has prepared. many rejected it. so he sent more servants to tell people about the wedding, still people rejected, and even some got killed (see the history of those who died for Christ because of the gospel)-(in the OT when people rejected God, he will destroy the place)
So he told his servants to go to the streets and invite all (that is where Christ tore the curtain of the Tabernacle, all can go into his presence). when the place is filled, the King spot a Beggar with no proper wedding clothes and told his servants to tie him up and throw him into the darkness(hell)- It is just like when the day of judgement, God ask what have you done with your life, when you can't answer him... that's it!...
but.. you will say.. how about the parable of the lost sheep, coin...-- well my answer is, that parable is just part 1, the full story is the wedding banquet.
For old believers, we should not be stumbled by this, but really think through.. are we grateful that God gave us salvation for free?, or are we taking it for granted?.... when we worship and praise him, is it truly from our heart?... are we taking evangelism lightly? every Gospel that we share, might be that person's last time to hear about christ.
Even pastors will go to hell!.. think about it....
-Die to the flesh but revived in your spirit-
-salvation is not just about receiving God, but also doing and taking his word seriously-
NOTE: I may not be totally right about it.. is just my interpretation
3) dilution of the Word.
when we teach, are we teacing or preaching to what people want to hear?... but the truth is not really there....
........Caution to all teachers and preachers of the word........
our judgement will be double
well... these are the thoughts....
